Managed to get much farther this time, it is surprising that I lasted this long. Still the usual problem with not getting the final relic (Windmill) despite all the boss fights. Got 2 Duct tapes, more cleavers (always prepare consumables for chef event), utilize the legendary shield (still could not find Mirror shield), found no Chef hat, and Coral.

Tried out the Assassin blade this time and it is useful against King by only using it at the start to get enough haste then switch to full damage later. Made a mistake in the boss fight and died, tried the quit and continue game trick but the cleavers does not act correctly despite shuffling around the items before fight. Local app is probably the only solution to that.

Quite an unfortunate run yet still the farthest I've gone since the last update. Despite carrying at least 1 ring for most of the run and fighting every single battle available, I never really got much out of it. One single forge event for rage, no cleaver event, failed to get queen cleaver from the wheel, no mirror shield or duct tape or hercule pavise, one single hat, and no windmill. Oh well, better luck next time.

Starting with stopwatch and shield spirit, I went for a shield arrow build that ended up with 7 at once. 4 shield forges yet not a single weapon forge, no cleansing rag to be found, this was just unfortunate for me. The duct tape, however, is an awesome addition that enables this build. Along with the charmed bracelet in hand, curse and burn is basically no problem for me. All I needed was a rag and rage forge.

Moments before disaster (poison)

Finally managed to get through normal mode after many tries and get a mana build running in endless. Sometimes your very first fight cannot even be blocked perfectly. In many cases, you have to take some beating in order to gain xp because of the new cowardly mechanics. There are many possible deadly combinations of mobs, like 2 sabers in a fight. But worst of all is how high the starting damage for the first few turns can be if you are unlucky.

I basically avoid the blessed swamp now since it is just difficult without much gain. The salamander with 100 hp is simply near impossible to immediately kill, yet it throws a curse at you every single turn.

With the ninja haste interaction gone, I thought of using weak to help myself survive. I also got 2 rags to handle potential poison matchups, which ended up not very useful since I always target them first anyways and it made the game even laggier. I failed to find a mirror shield which wasted a shield forge, and failed to get windmill & legendary hat so I had to keep the armor. With no haste and shield meaning no armor, I simply died to the grandmaster burn.

I saw the new curved arrow and am still unsure how to use it properly. I think a build with 4 electric arrows can do some pretty nice damage, if you manage to get the arrows. The usefulness of the short arrow is also questionable with the nerfed bow. Time for more exploration!

Quite an update this was. The nerf to bow is definitely significant, the stages are significantly harder and a bit more difficult to gain xp at the start due to the new cowardly mechanic but probably would make endless a bit easier.

I think having king with 3 regen might not be a good idea with how difficult he already is, now he can easily softlock you if you do not have anyway to scale your damage or remove regen due to bad luck. Oh well, I can only adapt.

A funny picture of me getting softlocked, doomed to endless torment.

Tried out the ninja and haste combo, I feels like this is the best one to pair with mana build to climb endless. I hope this will be kept as a feature instead of getting removed.

A metallic wand with at least +2 rage and a stopwatch is needed to get a kill in the first all out turn (2k+ damage). A mirror shield with at least 1 haste like I have here is essential to activate combo and deal with spike & rage from axeman, king and ohm (the candle is not needed). A mana hat (with windmill to keep the energy to 3 minimum is important) and a frog relic give you 7 hits every turn.

The dark headband is nice to quickly refill mana and potentially kill the next target immediately with all the built up damage. The wetband is needed to heal yourself up, especially against poison. It also allows you to not waste shields against king since you can attack him until the spike is beyond your heal then just shield up.

I believe I can just keep going until I make a mistake or die to the build up curse. The only way I can see myself getting any stronger is through forging for more rage, block and haste. Unfortunately I cannot save the game at all so once I quit, it is over. Hoping for a local build in the future.

The only thing for me to say is that I love this build. It does not have the kill power that a chef knife build has, but provides back and forth struggle (especially at the start) against your opponent that also build up overtime which is just my taste.

Somehow not a single book appeared the entire run, wherether fights, chests or shops, which is pretty unbelievable. Got a +4 rage wand and +4 blocks on mirror shield, a rag that was meant to be paired with necronomicon, and 2 shivs to utilize belt of knives. I wonder if I should have ditched the armor for more mana or not.

The later the game goes, the less useful the shop seems to be. Wondering whether a reroll mechanic would be a good idea or not.

Hmm, is it just me or the game is not saving properly these days? I got returned to the tutorial without getting the dying benefits every single run. I tried out like 2 different browsers, with and without incognito but still get the 'not saved'. Clicking the 'Save game' button does not change anything either. The stats does look normal and it registers my deaths. Maybe I will manage to find a solution, but for now I basically get -10 hp for this.

This time I tried out magic, mainly using the uncommon wand with 1 rage forged. If I got the one that increase base damage with mana stones first and forge it, I could have gotten a bit more damage. It's a bit unfortunate that the belt of knives does not synergize with lightning, but warrior book definitely does. The biggest problem would be how laggy the game is when using magic.

Finally managed to get pass the floor 16 wall thanks to the favorable encounters. This is the farthest I've ever gone. 2 ninja armors basically trivialize most encounters without poison or fire. I got the mouse bow first then discard for belt of knives later on. I couldn't find a single energy item except for the green necklace that requires curse, which I do not know how to handle. And neither did the regenerative wetstone.

In this run I got the Belt of Knives after the last boss and unfortunately die to a mob soon after before I can convert.

Tried the Mouse Bow out instead of avoiding it like a plague before. The damage seems nice at first and can still increase with some more short arrows, would love a dodge armor too. Unfortunately, I couldn't do much against poison as well as burn with this build. I wonder if there will be a rag equivalent to burn or something like that in the future. Maybe future burn weapons, too.

A basic poison arrow build where I can easily stack to hundreds of poison damage and deal tons of damage with rage. I died to the burn stack from the boss that can summon fire lizards in endless but did managed to kill him right afterward. Curse is not at all a problem with the bracelet and seasoning heal. I could have dealt a bit more poison if I can find a 4th poison arrow, probably should remove one seasoning for more space. Would love to see someone make a perfect poison arrow build with better equipments.
